Pit shown on the OS 1st edition 6in map (Bucks sheet 42 surveyed 1874-7), the OS 1st edition 25in map (Bucks sheet 42.1 surveyed 1874), the OS 6in map surveyed by 1945 and the OS 6in map surveyed by 1976. Also mentioned in the Memoirs of the Geology Survey for sheet 238, 1922 p23 [B1].
