Description

Rectangular pound shown at east end of Pound Street near junction with Broad Street and South Street on Verney estate map of 1768. Apparently not shown on earlier or later maps. 'Pound Street' appears on 1620 map as 'West Street', so presumably pound not built until after 1620? (B1).
NGR to approximate location of pound.
