Description

Collection of pottery and tile from allotment on Nalders Road, Chesham includes large numbers of wasters with evidence of over-firing and vitrification, suggesting that a pottery (and tile?) kiln was operating in the vicinity in the 17th century (B1). Material found in October or November 2000 and location of allotment confirmed (B2).
