Description

The National Trust's archaeologist, Gary Marshall, reports that an Anglo Saxon strap end was found whilst dredging one of the lakes at Stowe some 5-6 years ago and that it is illustrated in Shelagh Lewis' 'Buried around Buckingham' book (B1).
Presumably the strap end is that illustrated in Fig 29, page 27? Although text indicates that the strap end was found E of Buckingham (B2). NGR approximate only.
