Description

'Old Gravel Pit' is shown on the OS 1st Editon 6-inch map (Bucks sheet 14, surveyd 1880) and on the 25-inch map (B1-2).
Magnetic susceptibility survey on land west and northwest of Snelshall Priory identified the site of this filled-in quarry, which has some rubble visible in the hollow (B3).
Plotted as a feature visible in aerial photos (B4).
