Description

St Augustine's Roman Catholic Church built sometime between 1875 and 1898 on a site fronting the south side of Castle Street. Demolished before 1966, and site redeveloped as a row of shops (B1).
Built 1900 in Gothic style in brick and stone. Remained in use until new church erected in Amersham Hill in 1955-7 (B2).
Negative evaluation at 30-48 Castle Street (B3).
