Description

CROP MARKS SHOW 2 DEFINITE RING DITCHES CROSSED BY LINEAR FEATURE.(B5- 6).
During the construction of the Eton College Rowing Lake and the Maidenhead, Eton and Windsor Flood Alleviation scheme, this site was evaluated and excavated by Oxford Archaeology (known as Area 6). The centre of the SE barrow was cut through by a post medieval ditch. Another linear feature or ditch passed E-W just to the north of the S-E barrow (B9).
