Description

Dimensions - Length 30m, Width 30m.
Plan Form - SQUARE
ENCLOSURE C.30M SQUARE IN CORNER OF FIELD (AT NGR); SMALLER ENCLOSURE C.15M SQUARE WITHIN IT. BOTH ARE SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN SURROUNDING GROUND. SLIGHT TRACE OF DITCH. SITE OF FARM BUILDING? OR A SMALL FARMHOUSE WITH YARD AROUND IT? SITE IS 150M NE OF MOAT FARM (B1).

Cropmarks and earthworks of a small rectilinear enclosure of uncertain date are situated in the east of Stoke Hammond and are visible on aerial photographs. The enclosure is in the form of a ditch with slight interior bank, located in the corner of a field at SP 8849 2912 (2).
