STEWKLEY DEAN IS A HAMLET, NOW [1862] CONSISTING OF ONE FARMHOUSE (B1).
VERY SMALL HAMLET (B2).
TRADITION OF A CASTLE HERE, IN SW CORNER OF FIELD CENTRED AT SP8384 2658, WHERE A CURVED DITCH IS VISIBLE; FARMER CLAIMS TO HAVE PLOUGHED UP 'VERY LARGE' STONE BLOCKS (B3).
