Description

Evaluation trial trench excavated by John Moore Heritage Services in December 2001 in advance of proposed house extension found a circular posthole 370mm diameter x 200m deep, and seven dog burials of modern date. The pottery finds included 7 sherds of late and post-medieval date, and 7 fragments of tiles (one a corner tile with pale yellow glaze, 180mm thick) were recovered from the fill of the posthole (B1).
