Description

Find made during a rally of the Weekend Wanderers Deteting Club. Hammered silver penny from reign of Edward II, Class 11a, Durham mint, date 1310-1314, in poor condition. A search of an area 20m x 20m around the find spot was made but no other finds were made. The finds were made within the top 6 inches of ploughsoil. Another coin of James 's reign was found 200m away (1) .
