Description

The English Heritage survey of Stowe undertaken in 2001 notes quarries at SP67513612, 66m long x 44m wide x 2m deep; a quarry scoop in the hillside at SP6712 3623, 20m diameter x 1.7m deep; small quarry on the edge of the hollow way at SP67133614; and a further small quarry the the edge of the field at SP67883608 (1).
