Description
The English Heritage survey of Stowe undertaken in 2001 notes a track to the east of Home Farm comprising a scarp 45m long x 0.5m high defining a track 4m wide. The track runs along the southern edge of Home Farm Quarry (1).
A medieval or post-medieval scarp and trackway is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located adjacent Home Farm and centred at SP 67100 37586, a sinuous trackway is about 6.5 metres wide and extends about 142 metres from Home farm around the south side of the large disused gravel pit next to it (3).
