- HOLLOW WAY (Medieval - 1066 AD to 1539 AD)
Description
The English Heritage survey of Stowe undertaken in 2001 notes the hollow way which seperates two blocks of strip farming. A scarp marks the eastern edge and a slight ridge marks the west. The route runs NW-SE between SP6692 8000 and SP6696 3790. The southern ends disappers in the marshy area around the Home Farm Reservoir. The hollow way is probably contemporay with the ridge and furrow and was the route between the villages of Dadford and Stowe (B8).
