Wide ditch, possibly dug in the eighteenth or nineteenth centuries and containing a stream and marked as a Haw Haw on the 1845 Tithe Map

Description

The National Trust Survey of Stowe undertaken in 1989 notes a wide 1m deep ditch containing a small stream. It is marked as a Ha Ha on the 1845 Tithe Map, but stonework was observed. The survey interprets the the ditch as a sunk fence dividing up the field without interrupting the view from the house (B18)
