Description

The National Trust's Survey of Stowe undertaken in 1989 noted the base of a coade stone gothic monument standing in a sunken path. This has been interpreted as the 'rich gothic monument with pinnacles, etc' built in the 1814 and mention in The History of Stowe, pg 21 (B18).
