Description

Lodge to Horwood House. Circa 1911. Probably by Detmar Blow and Billerey. Thin pale red brick, tiled roof, flanking brick chimneys. Moulded brick details. Central round-headed arch with keyblock and moulded imposts in surround of panelled pilasters with moulded caps and open pediment above. Central section breaks through eaves. Flanking single bays of one storey and attic have leaded casements, 3-light to ground floor, 2-light in dormers. Small extension with flat roof to left (B5).
Arched gatehouse at the end of an avenue to the N of the house (B3).
