Description

Grade II. Lychgate. Late C19. Flint and ashlar base walls and piers; wooden upper structure with side arcades of pointed arches, and pointed arches to front and rear. Half-hipped old tile roof with cusped bargeboards. Side gablets with wooden tracery. Central wooden cross finial. Included for group value (B8).
Lychgate is a 'pretty wooden structure by Woodyer, 1858-9, incorporating, like the S porch etc, old timber from the W gallery' (B9).
