Description
10 sherds of pottery were recovered during field walking (7 Romano-British and 3 red earthenwares). The finds suggest cultivation during the Roman period, but possible pasture or woodland use during medieval times. The field is close to surviving ancient woodland. The roman Alchester-Towcester Roman road passes through the extreme eastern edge of the field. (1)
