Description

Fieldwalking led to the recovery of 35 sherds. Four sherds of Potttersbury Ware suggests that the field lay under Akeley's open fields in the medieval times. The assemblage included 18 sherds of Roman pottery including one of Samian ware, possibly suggesting a 1st century Roman occupation site nearby (B1).
