Description

Lying to the south-west of the medieval manor of Moreton, this large field was the subject of reconnaisance survey and geophysical survey in advance of forestation. An incoherent series of banks, up to to 0.5m high, was identified in association with the well, and interpreted as part of the water-retaining system for coprolite washing. The field was last ploughed in 1980 (B5).
