Description

An anomaly interpretted as a possible short cursus or mortuary long barrow, identified during a geophysical survey carried out by John Gover in June 2000 across the interior of Ivinghoe Beacon hillfort. The possible cursus has an entrance midway along the eastern side and appears to have been extended at the northern end. The interior of the cursus contains at least one 20m diameter anomaly interpreted as a ring ditch (B16).
Note: GIS plot of cursus estimated from illustrations in the above source.
