Description
Further Education College constructed 1962, on land previously in use as pasture and as allotments (B1).
College buildings by F B Pooley, County Architect, 1963, extended 1968. The seven-storey tower is steel-framed and aggregate-clad. Linked to it lower red-brick blocks, with areas of curtain-walling. Bold U-shaped block, 1985-8, by Sue Stewart of the County Architect's Department, unusually pure for its date, with a clearly expressed frame clad in red brick (B2).
