Description

HANGING BOWL ESCUTCHEON, WITH ENAMELLED DECORATION. THE CLOSEST PARALLEL TO THIS PIECE COMES FROM THE BURIAL AT SUTTON HOO. FOUND AT BRILL EARLY IN 1994 WITH A METAL DETECTOR. ON DISPLAY AT THE ASHMOLEAN MUSEAM. NGR APPROXIMATE ONLY (B1).
