Description

A single flat-based ditch, 1.7-2m wide and 0.5m deep and aligned NE-SW was recorded in Trenches 12, 40 & 41 during evaluation trial trenching carried out by TVAS in May and June 2002. The ditch showed clear signs of having been recut in Trench 12 only (the recut ditch was 1.1m wide and 0.9m deep). Associated finds suggest a Romano-British date (B1).
