Description

Dark soil deposits comprising an homogenous dark clay loam 0.29m - 0.34m deep identified during excavations in trenches B and C, overlying natural. Dated to the 11th to 12th centuries by Saxo-Norman pottery. Discussion of formation and comparable deposits elsewhere in Aylesbury (B1). NGR to courtyard.
