Description

Finds of 16 hammered silver coins found on a pipeline by Gordon Heritage and Dave Shelley in July 1991 and reported in ?1992. Coins found in a small area of c100m diameter. Possible coin hoard? Unglazed medieval pottery also present, though 'not a great deal'. Site had been previously checked after ploughing, but nothing showed, presumably as coins were found 'below normal plough depth' (B1).
