Description
Evaluation trial trenching carried out by Wessex Archaeology in September and October 1994 identified a single curvilinear ditch dated to the Late Bronze Age and a possible boundary ditch, ditches, gullies, pits and single articulated human inhumation dated to the Romano-British period. Roman pottery sherds, some C1-C2 AD, Samian (including single stamped base), finewares, coarsewares and mortaria and animal bone recovered. See report for detail (B3-5).
