Description

A map of 1834 shows a field called 'Stone Bridge Close' situated adjacent to a path that crosses the river, indicating the probable former presence of a stone bridge, possibly on a route between Nash and Whaddon (B1).
Remains of bridge abutments of unfrogged brick and rubble stone visible beneath existing wooden footbridge seen during site visit by Sandy Kidd in April 2007 (B2).
