Description

Around 1250, William de Jarpenville granted Snelshall Priory a plot of land in the common pasture of Tattenhoe for a windmill (Snelshall Charter No. 35). In 1802 there is an area marked 'site of a windmill' (Co. Rec. Off. Ref. Ma 301/2). Today there is a 'small overgrown irregular hump' in the area described in these documents (B1).
