Description

The house was built 1722-24, some of the surviving planting is said to be contemporary with original house. During the early 19th century the owners gardener at the time experimented with giant pansies. The third edition 6" OS map shows house and gardens with attatched parkland. Also evidence for formal layout. AP's confirm this, it still looks in pretty good shape although no features of obvious interest and parkland has been sub-divided. (B1)
