Description

18th century manor house with mostly 19th century gardens. The 1900 second edition 6" OS map shows entrance lodge with driveway leading up through a wooded garden. The gardens aren't really differentiated from the surrounding farmland. Walled kitchen (?) garden next to house. Recent APs show that two of the fields to the north and north west of the house in use for mineral extraction. Farmland incorporates all of former gardens now, walled garden out of use and bisected by an access road (B1).
