Description

Victorian mansion built c.1865 for Henry Vallance. Major alterations occurred in 1920 and it was neglected for a while. The second edition 6" OS map (1900) shows wooded parkland to the south of Farnham Chase. Formal gardens, treelined avenue and a small area of woodland to the north of the house. Modern 1:10000 shows house as rehabilitation centre. Parkland is now Slough Community Centre Park. AP's show hardly any parkland left now, mostly playing fields. Gardens around the house appear substatially intact though. (B1)
