Description

This site is one of the houses occupying land which was once associated with Gregories. This has semi-formal gardens of 3 acres which is notable in its own right. Its features include woodland, and a pool with a waterfall. Its possible that relict evidence of the earlier landscape of Gregories survives here. The first edition 6" OS map shows the site as part of a farm including a field and the remains of an orchard. The 1926 map shows the land as still part of Gregorie's farm but complex ground use means that no relicts are likely to have survived. The 1:10000 map shows a house has been built and the more recent AP's show this house has been extended with lawns. Wooded boundaries and semi-formal gardens to the south of the house. (B1)
