Description

House built in 1768 by Edmund Burke, he cultivated vegetables and experimented with water systems to improve productivity. He also worked with selective breeding of cows and pigs. Gardens and parkland shown on the first edition 6" OS map, unfortunately, these no longer survive. AP's and recent maps show the land to have been developed for housing and a school (B8).
