Description

Park part of Arts and Crafts Style county houses built in Pollards Wood. Built in 1907 after Edwin Forbes had designed it. Recent AP's show rough layout is still there however there are too many trees to make out any detail (B1).
Analysis of detailed design in 1905 for a double border and circular garden by Jekyll (B2).
Some planting information survives (folder 41 in Reef Point Gardens Collection); it seems that the client Archibald Grove asked Miss Jekyll about the garden in 1903, but after disagreements with Lutyens over Berrydowne Court (his previous property), he wouldn't let Lutyens near the house (B3).
