  • TERRACED GARDEN (18th Century to Modern - 1700 AD? to 1999 AD?)

Description

Garden of former rectory, upper and lower terraces are probably part of Woodyer's scheme, and star geometric patterns in lower terrace parterre probably also influenced by him. 16th century boundary wall to the east of the garden with beeboles, front (N) wall also contains beeboles. 18th century gateway and iron pedestrian gate with over throw. An interesting and perhaps unusual survival, now restored to its 19th century state by its current owner. (B1)
