Description

DITCH C.5 FT DEEP AND AT LEAST 10FT LONG, ALIGNED PARALLEL TO THE MAIN STREET NNW-SSE OBSERVED BY DAVE SHELLEY DURING HOUSE CONSTRUCTION. THE BASE OF THE DITCH CONTAINED A 'BURNT SILT DEPOSIT'. DAVE SHELLEY RETRIEVED MEDIEVAL POTTERY ASSOCIATED WITH THE DITCH (B1).
