Plan Form - RECTANGULAR
POSSIBLE MOAT FEATURE. IT SEEMS LIKELY THAT THE FEATURE MAY BE RELATED TO FORMER HA-HA WHICH IS SHOWN ON A MAP DATING TO 1739 (B1). PROBABLY FORMER SITE OF THE C18 'CHINESE HOUSE', WHICH WAS REMOVED FROM STOWE TO WOTTON UNDERWOOD, THEN TO IRELAND. RESTORED & REBUILT ON NEW SITE AT STOWE IN 1990S (B2).
