Description

BRICK DRAIN/CISTERN FOUND THAT COULD BE PART OF AN OLD TUNNEL BUT TREAT TUNNEL STORIES WITH CAUTION (!). MORE INTERESTING DISCOVERY WAS THAT OF LARGE SANDSTONE (SARSEN?) BOULDER C.850 X 500 X 600MM, SET INTO THE WALL 4' FROM THE GROUND. ONLY A SMALL AREA OF IT COULD BE SEEN IN WALL. SMALLER CHUNKS AROUND AS WELL (B10).
