Description

AN AREA OF EARTHWORKS AT LONGDOWN HILL WHICH CONSIST OF TWO DITCHES (?HOLLOW WAYS) LEADING FROM A CHALK PIT. THESE ARE SHOWN ON THE 1877 25-INCH FIRST EDITION OS MAP. THERE IS ALSO A FIELD SYSTEM, THOUGH THIS IS NOT SHOWN ON THE 1877 OS MAP (B1).
