Description

12 PIECES OF ROMANO-BRITISH POTTERY AND 5 C3/C4 COINS FOUND BY METAL DETECTOR IN LATE 1996/EARLY 1997 DURING CONSTRUCTION OF BYPASS (B1). A cluster of 'Cindery Moor' fieldnames is shown at this location on estate map of 1790. Possibly indicating a bloomery or kiln site? (B2).
