Description

EARTHWORKS IN FIELD TO SE OF MANOR FARM APPEAR TO CONSIST OF A COMBINATION OF HOLLOWAYS, FIELD BOUNDARIES AND POSSIBLE CLOSES. AT THE SOUTH OF THE FIELD A NE-SW DITCH OR TRACK (1) WITH BANK ON NORTH, CONTINUES TO THE NE AS MULTIPLE TRACKS WITH A RIGHT ANGLED BEND (2). TO THE N A SINUOUS N-S HOLLOWAY (3) RUNS FROM THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE FIELD TOWARDS THE S CORNER. A SLIGHT NW-S SCARP (4) AT THE W EDGE OF THE FIELD IS PROBABLY AN OLD FIELD BOUNDARY. A NE-SW BANK WITH A DITCH TO S (5) AT THE N OF THE FIELD IS POSSIBLY A BOUNDARY OF MANOR FARM TO THE N. A POSSIBLE MINOR CROSSROADS NEAR THE S CORNER OF THE FIELD AT THE JUNCTION OF TRACK (1) AND HOLLOWAY (3)(B1).
