Plan Form - CIRCULAR
BOWL BARROW: NO TRACE OF OUTER DITCH. CENTRE IS DEPRESSED, POSSIBLY THE RESULT OF EXCAVATION. SITUATED ON A PROMINENT CREST OF HILL IN AN AREA OF ROUGH PASTURE & SCRUB. SURVEYED AT 1:2500 (OS ALSO RECORD 2 SMALL ROUND BARROWS SEEN 15.5.1938 AT SP794002; LATER FIELDWORK FOUND NO TRACE)(B1). SCHEDULED (B2).
A bowl barrow at SP 7940 0004, situated on a prominent crest of Lodge Hill in an area of rough pasture and scrub. It measures c 14.0m in overall diameter and is 0.6m high, with no trace of an outer ditch. The centre is depressed, possibly the result of excavation.
