IA SETTLEMENT SITE 600M S OF UPPER ICKNIELD WAY. 4 IRREGULAR INTERSECTING PITS, VERTICAL SIDES & FLAT BOTTOMS: PROBABLY WORKING PLACE, NOT STORAGE (CF.WOODBURY). 'OCCUPATION LEVEL' EXTENDED ACROSS BRIM OF PITS & OVER WHOLE SITE: MANY FINDS. DATE 300-250BC? FARM NEARBY? (B1).
