WATCHING BRIEF DURING SERVICE TRENCHING AT SWANBOURNE CHURCH PRODUCED 2 SHERDS OF MEDIEVAL POTTERY, ONE FROM AROUND DATE OF NORMAN CONQUEST, OTHER PERHAPS A COUPLE OF CENTURIES LATER. FROM TRIAL PIT EAST OF CHANCEL. ALSO 3 ?COFFIN NAILS FOUND (B8).
