Description

Dimensions - Depth 75cm.
IN 1912 C O SKILBECK HEARD FROM A FARMER ABOUT PREVIOUS BURIALS AT THE RAG PIT (AT NGR) (SEE 00:000). HE FOUND BONES PROJECTING FROM SIDE OF PIT, C.60 CM BELOW TOPSOIL. HE DUG UP BOY'S SKELETON, MINUS SKULL, WITH KNIFE, & PHOTOGRAPHED IT. CLOSE BY WERE ADULT SHIN BONES & PROBABLY MORE BURIALS (B5-10).
