Description

NO FEATURES FOUND OF ROMANO-BRITISH DATE DURING EVALUATION OR DURING SUBSEQUENT EXCAVATION, BUT RESIDUAL RB POTTERY AND TILE FOUND IN A NUMBER OF LATER FEATURES. PRESENCE OF FINDS PERHAPS UNSURPRISING DUE TO PROXIMITY OF VILLA SITE AT VICARAGE GARDENS (200M AWAY). LACK OF RB FEATURES SUGGESTS THAT VILLA COMPLEX DID NOT EXTEND THIS FAR (B9-10,B12).
