Description

12 PITS AND 5 CUT FEATURES WERE OBSERVED DURING A WATCHING BRIEF CARRIED OUT BY JONATHAN PARKHOUSE OF BCM IN APRIL AND JUNE 1996 ON REFURBISHMENT OF THE SWIMMING POOL. A NUMBER OF THESE CONTAINED ROMANO-BRITISH BRICK AND TILE, BUT COULD NOT BE RELATED TO THE PUBLISHED PLANS OF THE 1954 EXCAVATIONS (B15).
