Plan Form - CIRCULAR
A SILVER TRINOVANTIAN COIN FOUND BY T H CLARK AT NGR IN 1994-1995 WHILST METAL-DETECTING AND CARRYING OUT MINI-EXCAVATIONS AT UPTON. CLOSE PARALLEL TO VAN ARSDELL'S MIDDLE WHADDON CHASE TYPE (45-40BC). OBVERSE: CELTICIZED HEAD FACING LEFT, REVERSE: CELTICIZED HORSE FACING RIGHT. RETAINED BY FINDER (B8).
Aerial photographs taken in 1996 reveal additional earthworks (B13).
